Welcome Phyllis Martin!

The Jewish Endowment Foundation (JEF) of Greater Charleston Board of Trustees has named Phyllis Martin as its first Executive Director.
 
Martin’s 25-plus year background as a leader in the nonprofit sector, combined with a deep passion for philanthropy, innovation, and helping communities solve their toughest challenges, will help further the Foundation’s mission and goals, ultimately ensuring the sustainability of Jewish engagement, life, and values in the region.

Our Partnership 2Gether Program is looking to hire a P2G Southeast Consortium Coordinator. This role serves as the central point of contact for all American stakeholders of the Hadera-Eiron Southeast Consortium Partnership. This position aims to ensure strategic engagement, program efficacy, and satisfaction of the 9 participating Southeast U.S. communities. This part-time position is estimated to be 20-25 hours per week (average) with opportunities for regional and international travel. Applications are due by June 12, 2023.

father of David (Trisha) Bernstein, Bobby (Mary Deann) Bernstein, Barry (Diane) Bernstein, Beth (Bob) Einig, and Marc (Anna) Bernstein; grandfather of Benjamin Bernstein, Preston Bernstein, Max Einig, Alex Bernstein, Teddy Bernstein, and Ozzie Bernstein; great-grandfather of Jessica Bernstein. Our hearts also go out to dear family members, Frieda’s sister and brother-in-law, Josine Gosschalk-Reavis and Don Reavis.

JFS Launches Grief Support Group 

This group is open to anyone experiencing grief, regardless of where they are on their personal journey. On behalf of JFS, we warmly invite everyone in the greater Charleston area, regardless of synagogue affiliation or non-affiliation. 

When: Last Tuesday of every month from 12:00-1:00pm. The next meeting will take place on June 27th.
