Charleston Holocaust Memorial Daffodil Planting
We invite you to be a part of a meaningful and impactful initiative as the Charleston Jewish Federation REMEMBER Program for Holocaust Education and Genocide Awareness partners with the Charleston Parks Conservancy and the Daffodil Project to plant daffodils at the Charleston Holocaust Memorial. In commemoration of the 1.5 million children who tragically lost their lives during the Holocaust, the goal of the Daffodil Project is to plant 1.5 million daffodils, each flower symbolizing a life lost but never forgotten.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join us in this heartwarming project. Whether you have a green thumb or simply a willingness to make a difference, your presence is invaluable. Planting daffodils is a simple yet powerful gesture that allows us to come together as a community and pay homage to those who were murdered.
All ages and backgrounds are welcome – this is a family-friendly event.
Why Daffodils? Daffodils represent resilience, hope, and the promise of a brighter future. By planting these vibrant flowers, we aim to create a living memorial that honors the memory of the innocent children who endured unthinkable hardships during one of the darkest periods in history.
What to Expect:
Let's come together to plant not just daffodils but seeds of remembrance, hope, and unity. Join us in honoring the past and cultivating a brighter future for generations to come. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
Thank you for registering for Planting Hope: Daffodils at the Charleston Holocaust Memorial. We look forward to a meaningful event. We will send you a follow-up email with more information. If you have any questions, please contact us at Remember@jewishcharleston.org.
